How our generation is different from past generations?

Every generation of teens is shaped by the social, political, and economic events of the day. Today's generation is different because we have seen both the eras with and without technology . They are more open to changes and modernization and nows how to take a stand for themselves and fight for their rights.

While researching,

I came through this word -'igen' Twenge names the generation born between 1995 and 2012 “iGens” for their ubiquitous use of the iPhone, their valuing of individualism, their economic context of income inequality, their inclusiveness, and more.

She also mentions the poor mental state of the igens and the bad emotional state stating the reason social media .

When we compare our generation things with our parents generation there are soo many differences

1.we can relationships so easy,  break up - patch up etc but our parents they got married directly.

2. They had a lot of sisters and brothers so they didn't really felt a need of making more friends while we change them as fast as we change our schools etc.

3. We know the importance of self dependence but the were not allowed

4. I am not saying that we are lazy, but our parents’ generation is simply ahead when it comes to working hard. To do a task, our generation tends to find a way that takes the least effort, which can be a good thing as it opens the door to explore new ways. But let’s face it, more often than not, it causes delays. But our parents don’t shy away from hard work.

5.Our parents’ generation doesn’t like change, period. They don’t like trying new things, they don’t like breaking old norms, they don’t like reforming old rules and values; so that they can be made more suitable to the current times. They don’t like to change their beliefs.

6. our parents are very much part of the society and do care about them. What they will about us but we care less ,we don't give a damn.mostly parents are against inter caste marriages but our generation is quite open about it .

Social media use, Twenge explains, means teens are spending less time with their friends in person. At the same time, online content creates unrealistic expectations (about happiness, body image, and more) and more opportunities for feeling left out—which scientists now know has similar effects as physical pain. Girls may be especially vulnerable, since they use social media more, report feeling left out more often than boys, and report twice the rate of cyberbullying as boys do.iGens also appear more reluctant to grow up. They are more likely than previous generations to hang out with their parents, postpone sex, and decline driver’s licenses.
