Hello readers !! First of all I would like to apologise as I'm a little late to post as I had my exams going on so hope you'll understand🤗 So let's dive in to our today's article which is about 5 natural drinks you should definitely have in summer to stay cool & hydrated for long hours... When I was small I used to love summers because for me it was a season of long vacations, fresh mangoes, yummy icecreams & ice gola. But now it's annoying most of the times due to excessive heat, headaches, dehydration resulting into irritation and so much more. I know many of you must be also of the same opinion. So today we'll discuss some healthy drinks which can help our body to stay cool and maintain our cool too😜
1) Mango panna -
Mango panna is a popular Maharashtrian beverage made from raw mangoes. It has a tangy sweet taste. It's rich in vitamin C which helps in throwing out toxins out from your body. It has various nutritional & digestive benefits too. Mango panna is made by boiling the raw mangoes, squashing them & adding some sugar, black salt & cardamom powder as per the flavour.
2) Lassi -
Lassi a sweet, cool, refreshing drink which can keep you hydrated throughout the day. It is believed that lassi helps in reducing body heat, dehydration and prevents some stomach problems as well. Lassi is made from curd which is to be whisked till it's smooth using a hand blender/mixer. Further on cold water is added along with cardamom powder & sugar. Again blend it with a hand blender or mixer until it's frothy and your drink is ready to serve. You can also garnish it with some dryfruit toppings.
3) Coconut water -
Coconut water is well known for its several health benefits.We can call this as a "miracle drink" too. It's rich in vitamins, minerals & electrolytes that are lost quickly on a hot summer day. In summer, it helps you beat the heat and boosts your energy levels back.
4) Buttermilk -
Buttermilk also known as 'chaas' is a popular summer drink from North India. Buttermilk helps in reducing acidity, blood pressure, cholesterol & is rich in calcium and consists of other vital nutrients too. It helps in preventing dehydration and promotes detoxification.
It's an easy homemade drink which is both healthy & delish.
5) Kokum Sharbat -
Kokum juice is a popular Goan drink made from Kokum fruit. It has various anti-inflammatory & antioxidant properties. Similar to other summer drinks it gives a cooling effect and reduces body heat. It also protects you from heat stroke. It can be consumed during any season and at any time of the day.
