Definitions of Ego and Self Respect
Ego is negative. It is an emerging belief arising from deliberate comparison of oneself with others.

We compare ourselves with people we consider inferior to us in terms of money, power, authority, appearance, anything. We do that to feel superior to them.

Selfrespect is positive. There is consciousness in what you are and who you are.

A heightened state when there‘s self-acceptance regardless of materialistic possessions and self-created identities.

5 MAIN DIFFERENCE BETWEEN EGO AND SELF RESPECT....

Ego– You respect yourself and the ones whom you consider superior to you.

Self Respect– You respect yourself and everyone, irrespective of positions and ranks (in your mind).

Ego– Me only me… there’s only self-interest, even at the cost of hurting others. What worse, you are unaware of it.
Self Respect– We, we, or after you… You talk about the interests of everyone. You are always conscious of right and wrong. And you never ever hurt anyone intentionally.

Ego– You always try to compare and compete with others. You want to beat others at any cost.
Self Respect– You never compare yourself with others. You compete only with oneself as a strive to touch your deeper self.

Ego– You can do anything, opt for the wrong means, be manipulative just to satisfy your ego.
Self Respect– Your respect for oneself is supreme which stops you from committing to the wrong. It encourages you to choose difficult yet right responses. It motivates you to endure harder by providing inner-strength.

Ego– You fear the outside world — people and situations. The reason is simple: your self-conceit is hollow, and you fear any change from the monotony that could expose you.

Self Respect– You fear no one. You have nothing to hide. You welcome the new through positive attitude and self-belief.
