Mussoorie is the heart of Mother Earth.

The best nature's surrounded by hills and Himalayan peaks. This place is also known as the Queen of Hills and is the most popular tourist destination in Uttarakhand. The Mussoorie town is itself surrounded by Himalayan peaks 360 degrees. 

Some facts about the place:

Before the British periods, only shepherds were living in these areas and their cattle used to feed in a field Mansoor, thus giving it this name. 

It was the centre of the Great Trignometry Survey. The name Mount Everest was given to the mountain after Mr George Everest, who used to live during that time.

1. Trekking is the first thing that one should try if visited Mussoorie, its well-maintained trekking path connects you better with the scenic beauty there. Some treks are – Nag Tibba Trek, Hathipaon Trek, Har ki dun Trek, etc.


2. As Mussoorie is blessed with nature's beauty, sightseeing there will give you the most relaxing and calming effect that you ever experience.


3. If you are not afraid of height, paragliding is another amazing option that you all can try, you will feel like flying between those huge mountains. The main paragliding spots are Bhatta fall and Mussoorie lake. You can choose the ride of 5 mins (rS. 1500), 30 mins (Rs. 5000), and 60 mins (RS. 10000).

5. After all these adventurous sports and the thrilling part, want to relax a little by doing some shopping so that you have something from this place. Then you should visit Mall Road, it is said to be the heart of Mussoorie. This is best known for curios, ethnic jewellery, and antiques which are the best to take with you as a souvenir. 


6. If you are a wine lover, then here are specific shops that allow the tourists to make wine, they have a proper instructor that will guide you through this amazing experience.
